Vertical Blind Alternatives (Panel Blinds): The fabric can be precision-slit into vertical panels for use in track systems, offering a soft, uniform appearance for covering sliding doors or as room dividers, as opposed to traditional rotating louvres.

Critical Fabrication Considerations


A. Pre-Fabrication Handling & Planning

B. Cutting Processes


Tooling: Use sharp, high-quality cutting blades (cold knife or specialized crush cutters). Dull blades will pull and distort the tight weave, resulting in frayed edges that affect both appearance and the fabric's ability to track straightly in side guides.


Precision: All cuts must be perfectly square to the fabric's weave. A diagonal cut will result in a blind that hangs crookedly or rolls unevenly onto the tube.


C. Joining & Seaming (for Widths > Roll Width)

Creating a strong, flat, and visually discreet seam is crucial for wide applications.


High-Frequency (HF) Welding: The recommended industrial method. It fuses the PVC coatings of two fabric edges, creating a bond that is strong and, when done correctly, very flat and minimally visible—critical for maintaining the aesthetic of patterned Sunscreen fabrics.
